98% Done!

The walls, and ceiling are done! We just have a little bit of clean-up on the floor, and around the chandelier. But the furniture is in and it looks great!

Next step is a dinner party! Whoo hoo. I am so glad this project is done, next we are going to do the living room..Ugh.

I cannot believe how much dust this whole project made. I think we(Bill) will be cleaning up for another three weeks.

So this is Fade Away Blues

Well, it is starting to come along. This is coat one, going to try and finish coat two tonight. And next is painting the beautifully textured ceiling.

I am not looking forward to it. I also wanted to give a shout out to Roger and Bill, for Surfing and cooking repspectively.

Dining Room - Stage 2

The dining room project is coming along. Once again, Mike came over to help texture the ceiling. Mike specifically asked that I post this picture so his parents see that he actually does work, and not just come over and drink our beer. (Chris and TC - texturing the ceiling is much easier than that silver roof painting crap) Thanks again Mike for all your help.

The ceiling dried and ended up much better than any of us anticipated.

Bill, bound and determined to use the cookie press (or cake decorating thing) that was left to us by dear Mrs. Davis, went to work on the corners. That joint compound can be rough on the hands - hence the gloves.
